Logan Terminal B South Addition
Boston, MA
DMJM+HARRIS, as Prime Consultant, is responsible for
full services design of a new domestic and passenger
terminal at Logan International Airport. The Terminal
B South Addition Satellite FIS includes approximately
225,000 square feet of new passenger terminal space
on three levels. The program includes new terminal space
for both international and domestic air carrier operations.
The proposed Terminal B South Addition Satellite FIS
will incorporate all necessary terminal functions that
allow international passengers to enter into the United
States at Terminal B. In addition to international arrivals,
the terminal will also provide for domestic arrivals
and both international and domestic departures. The
terminal will be composed of approximately 225,000 gross
square feet of space, functioning on three levels. The
South Addition will operate as a satellite facility
to the primary Logan FIS, International Gateway, now
under construction and located at Terminal E. This satellite
facility will primarily service the international flights
of the airlines at Terminal B, American Airlines, US
Airways, and their strategic alliance partners. As alliances
grow between domestic and international carriers, and
as domestic airlines increase the number of international
flights in response to increased demand, the need for
a Satellite FIS increases.
