Dredging for the Dabhol LNG Receiving Terminal
Dabhol, India

DMJM+HARRIS will perform surveying, geotechnical investigations, dredging engineering, and construction management services for the Dabhol Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) receiving terminal in Dabhol, India. The project entails the dredging of approximately 11 million cubic meters of material for the entrance channel and turning basin of the LNG facility.

The project is divided into five separate tasks. Task 1 includes the preparation of pre-solicitation notices to be sent to prospective qualified contractors. Task 2 includes review and comment on the proposed contract documents. Task 3 entails hydrographic surveys and geotechnical investigations to determine the seabed conditions in the project area, including the profile of the mud line and the profile of the underlying basaltic rock layers.

Task 4 covers the dredging design, the design of protection for existing undersea pipelines, and the preparation of contract plans and specifications. Task 5 includes a review and evaluation of the bids for the project and a recommendation for award.
